A book gets written one word at a time. The trick is to string enough of them together on a regular basis, day in and day out.
I made my word goal for the day before 2:00 and then got in a 40 minute walk on the treadmill. My goodness, I’m feeling ridiculously proud of myself. Perhaps because too often lately I’ve fallen short of my word goal and doing that just leads to stress. Ugh!
There’s been lots of discussion on one of my writers’ lists about the Downton Abbey finale. I am a HUGE fan of the show. I love all of the characters. I am perfectly willing to suspend disbelief when it comes to the Crawleys and the people who surround them. Still, I can give my two cents worth of opinion when called for. I can criticize decisions the writers made along with the best of them. But when I’m done, I am still a HUGE fan of the show.
And if you’re a fan of the show but you’ve missed “How it felt watching Season 3 of Downton Abbey,” take the time to scroll through it now. You will laugh. I promise you. You may even forget you’re in mourning for Matthew for a moment or two.
Off to write another couple hundred words, just so I can feel even better about the day’s accomplishments.
