If you are an author and you use the WordPress platform for your web site, as so many do these days (I’m so glad I made the switch), I’d like to recommend the fabulous new plugin, MyBookTable.
MyBookTable creates your book pages and provides buy buttons to many different online retailers such as Amazon, B&N, Audible, CBD, and more, making it easier for your readers to find and purchase your books. The folks at Author Media are behind it (I am not one of their clients but their blog is something I read regularly.) Another author told me about MyBookTable while it was still in development and while I was in the process of learning WordPress. It sounded perfect to me, and so I was eager for its release.
I decided to test the Beta version after it became available. Because I have 38 books to feature on my web site, this was no minor undertaking. I had a lot of data to move, a lot of retailer links to provide. However, that was not the fault of the plugin. Going forward MyBookTable is going to make my life much easier.
The basic plugin is free and has only the Amazon buy button and no easy entry of your affiliate ID. The Pro add-on, which I tested, and the Developer add-on, which I am using now, have all of the buttons I want (and more besides).
MyBookTable is now out of Beta testing and ready for users to start adding to their WordPress sites. You can find the free Basic version by going to Plugins, Add New, and entering the name in the search box. To purchase one of the add-ons, go to Author Media through one of the links provided above.
I made a couple of “wish list” recommendations during the Beta test. However, I can recommend this plugin without hesitation right now. I was able to make everything work almost exactly the same way my web designer had set things up. To see my book pages that were created in the plugin, just click here or on Books in the menu above.
(I am not a paid spokesperson; just a happy author)
