Those of you who follow me on Facebook may have already seen some of this information and the accompanying request, but I want to get as much feedback as possible so I’m doing a blog post as well.
I need to make some writing decisions, and I would love your help. My long-time readers know that I’ve written both contemporary and historical fiction as well as dual-time/split-time novels. Some of my novels are romances and some are women’s fiction with a strong romantic thread. I love to write the stories that capture my attention and seem to demand to be told.
Recently, I finished revisions on a contemporary romance that will release in November 2022. In February I’ll be revising an historical romance sequel to Even Forever (to release in 2022, date TBD).
But what’s next?
Publishing has been a very bumpy ride for authors for the last decade or more. Readers have many entertainment options. So having pertinent information from my readers is important.
I need to decide what I will write next. I have ideas for a three-book historical romance series set in the late 1800s in the area of Yellowstone National Park. I also have several ideas for some contemporary stories (although not a series). All the stories intrigue me, which is good. Getting input from readers will help me make up my mind what I want to do first.
I would dearly love it if you would take a moment to cast a vote by following the link to my Google form: https://forms.gle/Qb37bk28HR2NNj6h9
Thank you in advance for taking a few minutes to give me feedback. And feel free to leave comments on this post. I love to hear from my readers, and your thoughts matter to me.
Robin

I enjoy all your writing, but the contemporary fiction and dual-time/split time novels are my favorites!
Thanks. I appreciate that.
Over the last years (decades) I have read many of your books. Enjoying both contemporary and historical Christian fiction by many authors at the same time. Your coming to America series still comes to mind as some of my favorites. I don’t remember any specific titles. I am in a different season of life now and for pleasure only read historical Christian fiction. Stories of spunky, older women in an historical setting would be my personal preference. But I realize the market might be too small for that to be doable. The Ivy Malone series was one I enjoyed. Can’t recall the author’s name. I’m so grateful and thankful we still have solid Christian fiction to buy. Sorry for the rambling, but you invited us to share our thoughts. I was a Kindle girl for a few short years, but now I have gone back to my love of paper books. A slight luxury, but my one weakness. I believe the smell of a new book is addictive and I love seeing the cover each time I pick it up. I also can remember the author name, title and publisher to tell friends because I seeing them repeatedly. I struggled to remember them while I read Kindle books.
I’ll stop now. I could talk Christian fiction for hours. Lord bless you and your writing ministry.
Mary, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. I deeply appreciate it.
I volunteer in the Church Library and
have for 43 years.
Our readers love your books and I do too.
Bless you for what you do to keep
us in books!
Thanks for sharing, Janet. What a blessing you’ve been to your church library. 43 years is really something!
