This morning, over on Writes of Passage (where I blog with Tamera Alexander, Judith Miller, Kim Vogel Sawyer, Tracie Peterson, and Cathy Marie Hake), in answer to a challenge issued by Tracie, I posted my high school Senior photo, plus a few more to show the passing of time. I thought I would subject those of you who visit my personal blog to the same.
My baby photo. Taken … cough, cough … years ago.
First Grade Class Photo. I am seated, second girl from the right
(white shirt with black suspenders on dress).
A Dance Recital Photo, soon after my 12th birthday.
(We performed Showboat that year & the dress & hat were a brilliant red.)
And here is the one actually requested ….. The Senior Photo!
(I slept with pink tape on bangs and sideburns to get them to lie that flat!)
And finally, this was my first Author photo, taken before
the release of my debut novel in 1984.
Goodness gracious. I really don’t know where the years have gone.
LORD, make me to know my end
And what is the extent of my days;
Let me know how transient I am.
Behold, You have made my days as handbreadths,
And my lifetime as nothing in Your sight;
Surely every man at his best is a mere breath.
Selah and Amen.
