He looked and answered (like any wise DH), “Yeah, that looks good.” Of course, if he was truly wise, he would have stopped there. He didn’t. “Does it really matter? You’ll change it again soon anyway.”
Oh, that man!
“Why do you do that all the time?” he asked.
“Because,” I told him, “it’s less strenuous than rearranging the furniture and less stressful than trying a new hairstyle.”
I know a lot of my readers receive my blog posts via email subscription, and others just keep up to date with me and my books via Facebook. But I hope everyone will pop into my actual site occasionally (monthly?). The blog is just one part of my site that changes. I put up new sliders on my home page every so often. I add covers for upcoming releases and back cover blurbs as they arrive in my inbox (have you seen the gorgeous covers for The Heart’s Pursuit and Four Weddings & a Kiss?). My featured book is always changing. As reviews and endorsements roll in, they are added to a book’s page. (Check out the wonderful professional reviews for my next release, A Promise Kept!) And of course I always have a Goodreads giveaway going (one ends, another begins). The cover and link to the current giveaway can always be found on my home page. A new one began this morning for Beyond the Shadows.
Last April I launched a totally new site. I loved what the designer did (you can find my recommendations for website programs and more here). But by this fall, I had learned a lot about a websites built upon WordPress, and I was ready for a change in color schemes and a refresh of my logo, etc. I had a lot of fun doing the makeover, too, although there were certainly moments of frustration during the learning curve.
Anyway, if you haven’t come to “see” me in a while, I hope you’ll do so soon. I’m wrapping up the Beloved iPad Mini giveaway in a few more hours (winner to be announced Saturday), and believe it or not, I’m already gearing up for a couple of other nice giveaway after the new year begins.
Before I go, I just have to share the finished cover—front, spine, and back—of A Promise Kept. It is just too beautiful to keep to myself. Look for it in stores at the very end of December/very beginning of January. And if you read on an ereader, don’t miss the $4.99 pre-order special now in progress.
