Readers of my blog and social media certainly know that I love audiobooks so no one would be surprised that I want my own books to be available in that medium. Thus I am happy to share that two more of my novels are currently in production.
Whispers From Yesterday, winner of the 2000 Christy Award, was available in audio for a brief time, but then it went away. I’m delighted that Vision Audiobooks is giving it new life. The book is narrated by Leonor Woodworth, and the clip I heard made me anxious to listen to the rest of the story.
I listen to all of my books when they release in audio. It’s interesting to hear them read by someone else, because I have only heard the stories in my head in my own voice. And the longer it’s been since I wrote the novel, the better the experience.
Speaking of a long time . . .
Catching Katie, winner of the 2005 Carol Award and named a Best Book by The Library Journal, has never been released as an audiobook before. Can’t wait for this one. The narrator, Stephanie Richardson, is doing a great job, and I love that she said (on Instagram) that she seriously needs to talk about the book with someone.
While I don’t have favorite books of my own (each was written because the story captivated me at the time), I do have favorite characters. Katie is one of those, and Katie and Ben together are one of my favorite couples. I’m delighted that Stephanie is bringing them to life for audio, along with the history of woman’s suffrage.
I’ll definitely let you know when these audiobooks are available!
