April! When did that sneak up on me? Three months until this book is due.
I’m still working on the revised opening 50+ pages of PTM. I’m pleased, I think, with how it’s coming along, but I won’t know for certain until it’s all done and I can look at it in one whole piece. With luck and hard work that will be today.
It’s surprising how slowly this sort of work proceeds. It’s hard to keep track of the plot threads and characterization changes that are made. I keep stopping and wondering, Did I keep it the old way, did I already change it, or did I just plan to change it? My brain feels like mush about now!
The speed of my work has also been impeded by the problems I’ve been having this year with my back. I’ve started seeing a chiropractor, and that’s three visits a week. I try to schedule any and all appointments in mid or late afternoon but they still disrupt the flow of my day. Sigh…
