I am so glad I gave two hours to watching Rick Warren's interviews with Obama and McCain. While both senators "performed" well, I learned a great deal that will help me cast my vote with confidence in November. The format was excellent, and I congratulate Pastor Rick Warren for his part. The comparisons between the two candidates revealed a number of things that were important to me as a voter.
We are 80 days away from a very important election that will affect us in dramatic ways. We need wisdom and experience and a strong leader in our next president, and I believe the interviews tonight will prove helpful to the many who watched it.
I watched (and recorded) the interviews on Fox News, but it was being streamed live on the Internet, too. I expect that it will be made available on the Saddleback Civil Forum web site for viewing later as well. If you missed it live, please check the web site regularly.
Update 8-18-08: The interviews don't seem to be available on the site mentioned above, but you can view them on CNN's web site. There are four parts. Here is the first half hour with Obama (Part 1). From there you can find Parts 2, 3, and 4.
