Cough. Sneeze. Blow. I *hate* summer colds!
I am working my way through the laundry and have a stack of clothes to go to the dry cleaners. I keep shuffling papers around my work space, but I’m not sure I’m accomplishing anything. Maybe tomorrow my head will be clearer and I’ll be able to think.
On Tuesday in Anaheim, we had dinner with a Tyndale sales rep and some of his key accounts. I learned so much from Larry, the owner of a large Texas bookstore. He reads a new Bible from cover to cover every year, praying that God will show him the right person to give the Bible to at the end of the year. He marks what passages of Scripture the Lord shows to him.
I try to read the Bible through every other year, but I think this is such a blessed idea, I’m going to try to do the same (new Bible, read it through, give it away as the Holy Spirit leads).
From Troy, I learned a great way to *really* learn Scripture. Read the same two chapters of the Bible every day for a month (you and your spouse), together when you can and separately when you must. My husband and I are definitely trying to put this into practice right away.
Okay, the sick bed calleth. Temperature is on the rise.
