Yesterday afternoon, about the time more thunderstorms were supposed to blow through (we've been having lots of those), I sent my completed line edits of When Love Blooms (January 2009) off to my editor at Zondervan. On Sunday, I thought there was no way I was going to make my deadline. I was only making it through about 20 pages per day in the first two thirds of the book because I made a change early in the story which meant lots of rewriting and new writing, taking care to carry the new thread all the way through to its conclusion. But on Monday, things began to click a little faster and Tuesday they rolled to a finish. Whew! Feels so good I could Snoopy dance.
Today, I'm clearing a number of things off of my desk and trying to tidy my office. Oh, and I get my hair done this afternoon. I need that desperately. Have been putting it off far too long. I look shaggy, and when you've got sad hair to start with, that's not a good thing. Tomorrow, it is back to work on my May 2009 release. Deadline is roaring toward me.
