My goodness. Where did the past week go?
On Saturday, our local romance writers chapter had a workshop on journal keeping. Since I have kept a journal for decades, I thoroughly enjoyed the presenter's suggestions. I have also been reading a wonderful new book called "Journal Keeping: Writing for Spiritual Growth" by Luann Budd. I highly recommend it, especially for those who wish to draw closer to God by exploring their thoughts and feelings and the writings of others, etc.
On Monday, I was the guest for a readers group who were discussing Ribbon of Years. They had a lovely luncheon, and the discussion was fun. It's interesting to hear how different readers relate to the things I wrote. It certainly makes it clear how different we all are and how who we are affects what we hear and understand.
Tuesday, I had a number of conversations with my agent regarding contracts and my writing schedule in the coming months. Oh yes, I also went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned.
So here I am, Wednesday, needing to play catch up. There was a sign in an old lodge we used to stop at on the way to McCall (a lake resort town 100 miles north of Boise) when I was a girl. It read: "The faster I go, the behinder I get." That seems to be the caption for my life.
