What was your favorite book as a child?
I enjoyed the Little House on the Prairie series, but I was even more enamored with a frontier-era novel called Caddie Woodlawn by Carol Ryrie Brink.
What book did you read that first made you want to be an author?
The Hardy Boys mysteries. I devoured them as a kid, and I remember thinking—how hard could it be?
What was the last book you read, just for fun?
I just finished reading Tour de Force by Elizabeth White. My 12-year-old daughter is ballet-obsessed, and I wanted to be sure it was appropriate for a young reader.
What upcoming release are you most looking forward to reading?
A Place in His Heart by Rebecca DeMarino. I remember chatting with Rebecca about this book two years ago, and I’ve been waiting to read it ever since!
