The best laid plans of mice and men … or rather, writers.
One kind of interruption after another pushed into my writing time all week long. The kind of interruptions that require immediate attention and can’t be ignored until the word quota is made. Sigh… I’ll have to hope for bonus words next week and pray for interruptions to be at a minimum.
This evening I’ve got something truly wonderful on my schedule. Definitely not an interruption. My daughter Micki is graduating with an Associate Degree from the College of Western Idaho. In the fall she will begin studies at Boise State University and work toward her Bachelor’s Degree. Tonight the extended family will all be there to see her march up to get her degree, complete with her Honors Cord. So proud of both of my daughters for going to college long after leaving high school. Thus, more college graduations are in my future, both for daughters and for grandkids.
Speaking of grandkids, on Monday I’ll see another grandson graduate from high school. It happens so fast!!
Okay, off to write at least a few words … but first a bonus photo. Here is Pinky in my office window this morning. It was open to the beautiful breeze and sunrise, and she and I both had a good view of the finches on the thistle sock and in the white porch swing feeder. I enjoyed the view. Pinky was wondering how to break out and catch something for breakfast (although as an indoor cat, she probably wouldn’t know what to do with one if she caught it).
Here’s hoping for good things for your weekend.
