I got a great reminder this past week.
Tempting and testing are not the same thing. The Bible tells us that God never tempts anyone, but He does test His children. Test means to prove. A test puts us through the Refiner’s fire and burns away those traits that aren’t good for us.
Testing is done by God to strengthen us and to build us up and to help us succeed.
Tempting is done by Satan to weaken us and to tear us down and to make us fail.
Great reminders, yes, especially in seasons of testing.
