Okay, did you catch my meaning? Snoopy-dancing is called for. Right now. Go ahead and join me. Nobody’s looking. 😉
I am feeling really, really, really happy! About an hour ago, I finished the revisions of my 69th release (Jan. 2014), A Promise Kept, and the document went winging its way through cyberspace to land on my editor’s computer.
Being done with revisions is a good feeling, in and of itself. However, I feel extra good because I love this story so much. Often, by the time I’m done with revisions, I know the story so well (backward and forward and inside out) that I don’t like it anymore and wonder why I ever bothered to write it. This is one of those rare books when I don’t feel that way. I love my characters. I love their story arcs. I love the resolutions.
Oh, if it could only always feel like this!
As I’ve bemoaned before, I’ve got several back to back deadlines, so no time off. I’ll try to tidy my office a bit so I can think straight, then I’ll dive immediately into the next story.
In the meantime, that’s me and Snoopy, dancing around my office.
