I have been a follower of Christ for over 41 years. I was passionate about His written word from Day 1. One wonderful spiritual discipline is to write out Scripture. It seems to go deeper when I take the time to write it down in my own hand.
In June, I saw a YouTube video about the One Book July 2017 challenge. In the planner community, there are more types of books and planners and sizes of books and planners in which to plan and journal than you can imagine. Some people use five to ten planners, all for different parts of their lives. The One Book July challenge is to try to simplify for a month. Sort of return to basics.
I decided to use the challenge to kick start my Scripture writing discipline in my new Faith planner (July 2017 through December 2018). This is a horizontal planner, perfect for writing Scriptures in. And in the Notes section beneath Sunday each week, I am entering one or two thoughts that stand out to me from my Bible study videos.
The two pages per week format of this planner runs from Monday through Sunday, so today I completed my first week of entries. Here is a quick video, sharing this week’s entries as well as a DIY notecard book and a travelers notebook I’ve also used for Scripture writing.
I would love to encourage you to join me in Scripture Writing for the month of July. You don’t need this planner. Any notebook will work. And you can find the free plan I am following on http://www.swtblessings.com.
