The weatherman has promised us a couple of nice days for a change. While many of my friends have been suffering from the heat in different parts of the country, we’ve been cool and wet. So wet I sometimes feel like I was moved to Portland without anyone telling me. Today, however, we are supposed to reach 80 degrees. Yea! I’m ready.
This morning, I reached the halfway point in Beth Moore’s study, Jesus, The One and Only. Oh, I am loving this study. So very rich. So many excellent things to chew on and mull over. Today, it was, “Lord, I believe. Help now my unbelief!” I’ve spent the morning going over parts of it again in my head and heart.
Do you ever think you’ll go nuts looking at your To Be Read pile/shelf/list on eReader? I sure do. Since I’ve been proofing some out-of-print titles, I’ve had to set aside a very excellent novel by a favorite author and I’m eager to get back to it. I long to know what happens to the characters I’ve come to love. I also have several how-to books I want to read, books that other writers have told me about and declared excellent. Ack! I’m so far behind.
My editor got a little behind, too, and so the line edits I was expecting on Thursday won’t arrive until tonight. I’m told they aren’t very extensive. Of course, “not very extensive” can be a relative term. I’ll have to wait to see. In the meantime, I’ll return to proofing the copy edits for the rerelease of The Shepherd’s Voice which is coming to eReaders in September.
