Today would have been my mother’s 99th birthday. In the two and a half years since she graduated to heaven, I’ve learned that a daughter never stops missing her mom, no matter how old that daughter becomes.
Here are a few photographs of mom and the family.
The above picture was taken in Payette, Idaho where my aunt and uncle lived. Mom and dad (Dad standing and holding a camera, Mom at his side) would have been newlyweds because there is no sign of my brother or me. In the photo are my grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.
This photo is my mom and dad’s wedding photo.
Here’s mom with me on my wedding day.
I love this photo of mom. I think she was about 34 here.
My grandfather owned a lemon grove in Riverside, California. Here’s Mom on the steps of their house when she was about four or five.
Having someone I love in heaven makes me yearn for my forever home more than I used to.
