When contest season rolls around, it’s always exciting for an author to learn that one of her (or his) books is a finalist.
Many wonderful books don’t final or win contests. Some authors choose not to have their books entered in any contests, and many of their reasons make great sense to me. Others choose to only have their books entered in certain contests for various reasons; I’m in agreement with a lot of those reasons, too.
As an author, my favorite contests are the ones judged by readers. Two of those contests, well-known among writers of romance fiction, are the National Reader’s Choice Awards and the Faith, Hope & Love Reader’s Choice Awards.
Imagine my excitement this month when I learned that Who I Am with You is a finalist in those two reader’s choice contests. It’s gratifying to know that this novel is resonating with readers.
My thanks to the judges, should they happen to visit my website.
