Let the whole earth sing to the LORD!
Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.
Publish his glorious deeds among the nations.
Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.
Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise!
(1 Chron 16:23-25a, NLT)
Several years ago, I read that passage as part of my BSF studies, and I remember the impact it had on me. God says to "publish His deeds among the nations." Isn't that a cool passage for those who write for Him?
Sometimes it's hard, wading through words, trying to find the best plot, the best story, a new and fresh vision. I want to write novels that glorify Him, that help readers see Him in a new way, while at the same time are stories that entertain and engage them. The desire is there, but sometimes I feel inadequate to the task.
As I'm working away on a new book, I'm going to try to remember those lines of Scripture and remember, too, that the battle is His.
