One thing I like to do at the Western Idaho Fair is go through the Exhibition Building. There are the old standbys: the chiropractor giving a free analysis of your spine; the pots and pans that will make you a chef; the cleaning products for your eye glasses or your home; the hot tubs display; jewelry and watches galore; etc.
But every once and awhile, I get surprised by something that I want. Not need, necessarily, but want. That's what happened to me on Sunday afternoon. I got so overheated from the 105 degree temp that I had to go into the Expo building so I could cool off. (Ah, air conditioning.) It was my daughter who spied the display of purses first, and then we both ended up buying a set.
A set? Of purses? Well, yes. Let me explain. They are called Miche Bags. You start with either a black or brown purse, then you pick out different shells to go on the outside so you can change the look whenever you like. The shells are held on by hidden magnets. The purse comes with short and long straps plus two shells for $70 (the online price). Additional shells cost $20 each. They were having a Fair Special (of course) so we both saved about $20. BTW, the shells fold flat so they take up no space at all.
I plan to clean out my closet of a number of old purses because this bag is going to rid me of the need for them.
Check it out. Maybe you'll want a set too.
