I am having so much fun as I begin my new book. I’ve spent a number of months getting to know my heroine as she was a secondary character in the book I turned in last month. But the hero was a mystery to me. Last week, I “discovered” him, and already he’s hooked me. For the past few days, I have been smiling every time I think about this story. I’m not writing fast enough yet, but considering all that is going on this week, I’m feeling good about what I’m producing.
For the first time, I’m putting my Circus Ponies Notebook software to its full use for this new book. If you own a Mac (which you should!), then you should own this software. I’ve had it on my computer and laptop for about two years, but for a number of reasons, never really made a habit of using it. That has changed. The research section for this new book is already filled with various items about WWI, telephone service in 1916, cowgirls of the earliest 20th century, and much more. I just cut and paste items from the Internet or from my World Book software into the Ideas and Research section. Very handy and I no longer have paper that I’ve printed stacked all over my desk.
Change of subject: I recently rejoined the Author’s Guild after a few years’ absence. This advertisement for them came out in a recent email from Publishers Lunch, and I got a real tickle out of it. Be sure to watch it play all the way through. LOL!
Well, back to Cleo and Sherwood. They haven’t met yet, but it will happen soon.
