It’s that time again. Round 6 in my Name This Author blog series.
This author never fails to make me laugh when I read one of her books (or on those too rare chances that I get to be with her in person). Speaking of laughter, she once won first place in a figure skating competition, but she forgot to take her blade guards off to receive her trophy and fell in front of the entire audience. She tells me that she also played the violin for a month, until the neighborhood dogs heard “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” mangled one too many times.
The Rules: You must put your guess in a comment on the Write Thinking blog. (Commenting on Facebook doesn’t count.) Participants must have a USA mailing address to be eligible to win a book. (Sorry. Cost of postage outside the US is too prohibilitive.) The first person to name the author correctly wins a Robin Lee Hatcher novel. If no one has guessed correctly by Friday morning, there will be no winner for this round. If there is a winner, he or she will be announced in an update at the bottom of this post. If the winner fails to contact me at my Write Thinking email address (see left sidebar) with his/her mailing address, no prize will be awarded to a runner-up. No one who has won a book within one month is eligible to win.
Be sure to check back to this post to see the answer and to see if you have won.
UPDATE: Well, this week we managed to stump you. But thanks for all of the great guesses. You folks named some terrific and very funny authors. Maybe if I’d mentioned California you would have got the right one. She looks so much like her baby photo.
This week’s author is Christy Award finalist and two-time winner of the ACFW Book of the Year award, Kristin Billerbeck. Kristin has appeared on The Today Show and has been featured in the New York Times. She lives with her family in northern California. Be sure to check out her web site and blog, and look for her new novel, A Billion Reasons Why from Thomas Nelson, coming soon.
Come back next Wednesday for another chance to win a novel.
