Award season has begun (for books published in 2009, contests will be giving out awards from April through September).
Last week I got the news that two of my books, When Love Blooms and Fit To Be Tied, are finalists in the Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence, the former in the Inspirational Single Title category and the latter in the Inspirational Series category. While it's always an honor to have a book final in any contest, it's extra special when some of the other finalists are really close friends. That's the case in the Single Title category, where Deborah Raney has one book and Tamera Alexander has two books.
About three years ago, Deborah, Tamera and I did an ad together. We love to read one another's books, just like the ad shows.
And here are the full list of finalists in both of the inspirational categories:
Protecting Her Child by Debby Giusti
Fit to be Tied by Robin Lee Hatcher
Second Chance Bride by Jane Myers Perrine
A Forever Christmas by Missy Tippens
Soldier Daddy by Cheryl Wyatt
Beyond This Moment by Tamera Alexander
The Inheritance by Tamera Alexander
When Love Blooms by Robin Lee Hatcher
Yesterday's Embers by Deborah Raney
Final Warning by Sandra Robbins
Congrats to all!!
