Continuing in my month of daily expressions of thanksgiving:
Today I'm thankful for the gift of creativity that God has placed in each one of us. We are made in our Creator's image, which means we are creative beings. Without that gift of creativity, I couldn't do what I do. And so I rejoice in God's generosity.
- I'm thankful for my two daughters, beautiful young women, wonderful mothers in their own right. They bring me so much delight, and I'm grateful that God gave them to me for a time. It is impossible to imagine what my life would have been like without them. Thank You, Father, for these treasured daughters. Bless them and help them to know You in miraculous and personal ways.
- I'm thankful that my maternal grandmother and grandfather relocated from southern California to southern Idaho circa 1919. I love my home state — the mountains, the whitewater rivers, the high deserts, the wilderness, the waterfalls, the crystal clear lakes, the snow-capped mountains, the 300+ days of sunshine each year. "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made . . ." (Romans 1:20)
Wow! My heart is filled with so much praise as I finish writing these expressions of thanksgiving. And, Lord Jesus, I know that if Your people don't praise You, the rocks will rise up and do so. I would rather do it. Great and mighty is the Lord our God.
Tell me, what are you grateful for today?
In the grip of His grace,
