Continuing my month of gratitude:
On this Veteran's Day, I'm thankful for all the military men and women, past and present, who have given so much to keep America and its citizens safe and secure. For our men and women in uniform overseas today, may God bless and protect them and may they know how much they're appreciated.
- I'm grateful for the men and women who serve in elected offices at city, state, and national levels. Sometimes the things they do make me crazy or angry or frustrated, but I still believe that most of them ran for office because they wanted to do good.
- And I'm thankful that I live in a country where an outgoing president, often maligned, ridiculed and reviled by the man running to take his office, does everything in his power to assure a smooth transition of office to the new president-elect. Peaceful, orderly transfer of power. I'm thankful that's my country.
And what are you thankful for today?
