Excitement and the never ending list of things I must do in the days to come kept me awake for much of last night. Well, I fell asleep on the couch and missed the first three performances on tonight’s Idol. I’ll have to watch them on the DVR, but it’s recording something else, so I can’t do it yet.
I woke up in time to see Lakisha get a kiss from Simon. Then I saw Blake’s performance, and I’ll be surprised if I like anybody or any song better than his cover of “You Give Love a Bad Name.” Wow!!! Chris and Melinda were both great too, but Blake was awesome. (And I liked his dark ‘do, too.)
No promises that I will return to the blog tonight with comments on the first three performances. Too much else to do. So go ahead and chime in with your comments on Phil, Jordin, and Lakisha as well as Blake, Chris, and Melinda. Which two do you think will go home tomorrow? Gonna be tough.
