Another Wednesday, another AI elimination.
Allison and Adam were safe right off the bat, but Anoop was in the bottom three. I don’t think he deserved to be there (and I was fairly certain he wouldn’t stay there).
Jennifer Hudson was one of the guest performers, her first time back to the Idol stage since she was eliminated back in Season 3 (the year before I started watching the show). She looked pretty and poised, and I couldn’t help feeling a bit heartbroken for her, knowing the tragedy that touched her life last year.
Next round of singers: Kris was safe and Lil was sent to the bottom three. Two left: Matt and Danny. Matt was sent to the bottom three. I had predicted Matt and Lil but I would have put Adam in the bottom three instead of Anoop. And Anoop is who they sent back to the sofa.
Miley Cyrus performed (I understand it was taped earlier, so there was no chatting with Ryan after she sang). And may I say that Jamie Foxx is an idiot for saying what he did about this young girl. Calling a teenage girl what he did isn’t funny. There is no excuse for it, and saying he was just doing his job as a comic is baloney. Shame on you, Mr. Foxx.
Now back to AI: Two big surprises (at least to me) happened in the last ten minutes of the show. First surprise: It wasn’t Lil at the very bottom. It was Matt. Second surprise: The judges actually used their one and only save this week. Matt didn’t have to go home after all (although his performance still didn’t do it for me).
Bad news: Two people will go home next week after Disco night.
