I've had fun over the past week, learning how to convert VHS files to MOV files via M4V files and then edit them in iMovie. It certainly was work, too, but I enjoy learning new things on my computer, especially since I made the switch to the Mac. Even after (almost) three years, I'm still surprised to discover all the neat tricks and intuitiveness of Mac software. So far I've managed to ready clips from my three RWA Awards and one television interview. They're all available on my web site and in my YouTube account. (I still had long, curly, red-brown hair in the two 1999 videos. The next year I went to short, straight, blond hair. What a change!)
What comes next? I'm waiting for the new iLife 09 to arrive in three weeks or so. Then I'm going to begin early work on designing a book trailer for my May release. I'll let you know how it goes.
