In case some of my regular blog readers aren't reading my daily posts in my Thanksgiving Journal, I thought I would share an occasional post here.
Today I'm thankful to God for:
- … all of the rescue workers arriving in Haiti. May God protect their hearts from the horrible things they may see, strengthen them beyond what is normally possible, grant them courage and peace.
- … all of the people around the world who are giving money, in amounts both large and small, to help organizations such as Salvation Army and World Vision and Samaritans Purse, so that aide may be rendered to millions of hurting, frightened, thirsty, hungry, injured Haitians.
- … His compassion. "When Jesus went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things." (Mark 6:34)
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Phil 4:6)
