I’ve got copies of CATCHING KATIE to give away to two lucky readers for the month of July. All you have to do is Like my Facebook Page and subscribe to my quarterly newsletter, then complete the Rafflecopter entry form. You do not have to be a new Like and/or a new subscriber to be eligible.
I honestly and truly do not have favorites among the books I’ve written for the Christian market. They are each one meaningful to me for different reasons. But I do have a few favorite characters, and Katie Jones is one of them. I have always viewed her as a dust-devil, whirling down the streets of Homestead, Idaho, leaving all in disarray, and then I imagine dear Benjie (as Katie calls him), coming along behind her, sweeping up the messes she has made. I also love her because she makes me think of my grandmother who was among the women of that generation who were able to cast votes in Idaho in 1916. Katie would’ve been so proud of my grandmother.
Katie Jones is committed to fighting for the cause of women’s suffrage. She has no time for romance, especially not with her best friend Ben Rafferty. But when Katie’s column in Ben’s newspaper stirs things up, sparks begin to fly. Ben is set on winning Katie over, but Katie is just as determined to stay true to her 1916 feminist ideals. With such strong obstacles in the way, their relationship can’t possibly progress. Unless somehow love finds a way…
“You can run all you want, Katie. You still can’t run away from your feelings or from my love. Not today. Not ever.” With determination in his voice, he added, “I will catch you, Katie.”
Just use the Rafflecopter entry form and then watch for the announcement of the two winners in early August; emails will also be sent to the winners using the address entered on the entry form. (The Rafflecopter entry form is also available on a tab on my Facebook Page.)
