I hoped to be able to share the title, cover, and blurb for my next book in the November issue of Robin’s Notes (my monthly newsletter), but the timing still isn’t right. A couple of things need to fall into place first, but they should happen later in November, so I plan to send out a special edition of the newsletter at that time.
I am so eager to share this gorgeous cover with everyone. I’m even more excited to share the story with you, but that won’t happen until next June. This book went through quite a bit of change from idea to finished book. In some ways that is true of every book, but it was especially true of this one.
One way I thank my readers for subscribing to my newsletter is to let them see/know “big” news before I post it to social media. That includes a cover reveal. So if you aren’t subscribed and you want to be among the first to know, I hope you will subscribe here.
Why is it important to subscribe to newsletters?
Do you know why authors appreciate it so much when you subscribe to their newsletters? Because it is the best and fastest way we have to reach readers with news. Social media can go away in an instant. Social media can ban anyone they choose, for cause or no cause. Social media algorithms hide the majority of an author’s posts. Social media “owns” your information. But if you have subscribed to author newsletters, you will hear from them. You will get that information, no matter what happens on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram.
I send out my newsletters around the first of the month. They usually have a few general comments. When it’s time, I share covers and new book releases and sales. Right now, my newsletters have a Blast from the Past section (about one of my older titles). Sometimes I share about the books I’ve read. Sometimes I share an Author Spotlight about a writer friend. Currently, I’m including a section called “From the Margins of my Bible.” I hope to make my newsletters informative and fun to read.
Thanks so much for subscribing to my newsletter and for following my blog and/or following me on social media. I love to interact with my readers.
