Tonight at around 5:30, I finished my revisions on Belonging, the first book in my new series, Where The Heart Lives. I suspect only another writer can understand the joy I feel when attaching a finished document to an email and sending it zipping through space to my editor. Now I'll enter the "holding my breath" phase until I hear back from her.
This series follows the lives of the three Brennan siblings who were "placed out" after the death of their mother in Chicago. The children have grown into adults by the time the series begins. Belonging tells the story of Felicia Brennan Kristoffersen who has come to Frenchman's Bluff, Idaho from her home in Wyoming to be the new school teacher. (More details will follow as the release date gets closer.)
Naturally, I couldn't wait to share this cover. Isn't it beautiful? I love the colors. And the expression on Felicia's face is so perfect, both for the story and for the character. I hope seeing it will make you anticipate reading the story.
