THE RECLUSE (ebook)
by Eric Wiggin
THE RECLUSE (novel) tells the story of Amy Miller, who travels with her family to the seaside village of Portugal, Maine in 1942. Her dad, who was reared in an Amish home, was pushed out of his Baptist church by deacons angered that he refused to allow the Armed Services to set up a recruiting office in the lobby of the Baptist church where he was a pastor. Amy’s wise and winsome Amish nana, shunned by her community, travels with the family to live in a Maine parsonage.
Amy meets Vaughn Lehmann, a godly bachelor who is deaf, crippled by polio and who was born with Asperger’s syndrome. His combination of handicaps brings the scorn and persecution of the community on his head, and for a time he lives as a recluse.
Amy, meanwhile, is kicked out of her teaching job for befriending Vaughn. So she enlists as a WAC, and is sent to Italy to drive an ambulance with General Clark’s 5th Army during the Allied invasion of Europe. Here, she is missing in action, presumed dead.

A LIGHT IN THE WINDOW (reissue: first time in print)
by Julie Lessman
One Woman. Two Men.
One stirs her pulse and the other her faith.
But who will win her heart?
Marceline Murphy is a gentle beauty with a well-founded aversion to rogues. But when two of Boston’s most notorious pursue her, she encounters a tug-of-war of the heart she isn’t expecting. Sam O’Rourke is the childhood hero she’s pined for, the brother of her best friend, and part of the large, boisterous family she loves. So when his best friend Patrick O’Connor joins in pursuit of her affections, the choice seems all too clear. Sam is from a family of faith and Patrick is not, two rogues whose wild ways clash head-on with Marcy’s—both in her faith and in her heart.
Overseeing the Christmas play fundraiser for the St. Mary’s parish soup kitchen—A Light in the Window—Marcy wrestles with her attraction to both men and her concern for their spiritual welfare. The play is based on the Irish custom of placing a candle in the window on Christmas Eve to welcome the Holy Family, and for Marcy, its message becomes deeply personal. But when disaster strikes, Marcy is destined to discover the truth of the play’s message first-hand when it becomes clear that although two men have professed their undying love, only one has truly responded to “the light in the window.”

AN ARIA FOR NICK
by Hallee Bridgeman
The only man who can save her life has been dead for a decade.
Raised in a loving home, Aria Suarez dreamed of becoming a professional pianist happily married to her high school crush. After the only boy who ever caught her eye dies a hero’s death and her wrist is shattered along with her future plans, she turns her brilliant musical mind to nuclear engineering and solving mysteries of science.
Abandoned to an abusive father at five, Nick Williams grew up dreaming of escape; of enlisting in the Army and leaving his wretched life behind; of proving himself worthy of the girl he loves. But the crucible of combat offers only the escape of death.
A decade later, Aria uncovers a nuclear plot that threatens the heart of our very nation. Sinister forces surround and threaten her when, out of nowhere, the man who reportedly died so many years before returns as if from the grave — intent on protecting her.
Has God finally joined them together?
Or is Aria doomed to mourn Nick twice?
Hallee Bridgeman lives with her husband and their three children in small town Kentucky. When she’s not writing Christian romance novels, she blogs about all things cooking and homemaking at Hallee the Homemaker (http://www.halleethehomemaker.com).
Hallee started writing when her oldest child and only daughter was a baby, but a busy professional career and being the wife of a deployed soldier had her shelve her books for another time. Two more children, a cross country move, and God’s perfect timing brought the books off of the shelf to be dusted off and presented to you now.
Hallee loves coffee, campy action movies, and regular date nights with her husband. Above all else, she loves God with all of her heart, soul, mind, and strength; has been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ; and relies on the presence of the Holy Spirit. She prays her books are a blessing to you and would love to hear back from you.
