I came of age during the height of the Civil Rights movement of the
60's. Many difficult images linger in my memory from that time. Not
that I personally experienced the turmoil of the era. I grew up far
away from first-hand experience. But I was raised by a mother who had a
love for all people and who desired racial harmony, and she passed that
on to me.
In honor of the holiday, I'm going to send you to John Piper's Desiring God blog post where he quotes from MLK's Letter from a Birmingham Jail. Well worth reading and remembering.
Update 1/18 @ 3:20 pm: Here's another great post about Leadership Lessons learned from MLK.
