Well, I managed to sleep for four hours. That’s more than many candidates and election officials got, so I will be grateful. It is obvious that Bush has won the election, both the popular and the electoral college (since even if 100% of those provisional votes go to Kerry he can’t take Ohio). I’ve been up since 3:30 a.m. I was hoping to see Kerry’s concession before I leave to work out. I don’t see that happening, although he should, for the sake of the country.
Now it is time for healing. Let it begin. Now it is time not only for President Bush to continue the war on terror and to finish the war in Iraq, but for him to begin implementing many of the programs that will help the economy. I want the health plan that he proposes; I want to be able to join with other small businesses to buy a decent health plan. There are many other issues, too, and I believe the President will be able to accomplish them in his second four years.
Okay, off to the fitness center where I can celebrate with my exercise buddy. More later…
