I use a 8.5 x 11 journal called Journal 10+ to track my writing. This one will last me through 2017. It is so helpful to be able to look back at the progress I was making in other years, and I highly recommend it to everyone but especially to fellow authors. I use a different color of ink for each book (A Promise Kept is red; The Heart’s Pursuit is sky blue; my current WIP is lime green) which makes them easy to tell apart at a glance.
Tuesday morning, I wrote this in the journal: “Finished A Promise Kept line edits and sent to editor.” Ahhhhhhhhh. Feels good.
As a reward, I treated myself in the evening to the movie, Sarah, Plain and Tall. It’s been a long, long time since I watched this DVD (or the two sequels). What a great movie. Perfect to get me back into the mood for the historical romance I’m working on now. I wanted to check the year it was made (1991), so I went to Amazon. And I discovered that this three movie collection is no longer for sale new and is worth a pretty penny used. What a surprise! In this digital age, why wouldn’t these movies still be available? Hallmark? Are you listening?
And no, I’m not selling my DVDs. I’ll treasure them all the more now.
