I noted on my blog yesterday that a storm was coming, prior to American Idol. Obviously I was one of the lucky ones. My DirecTV lost its signal for a few minutes. But thousands were left without power across SW Idaho, and winds were recorded as high as 68 mph east of Boise. Large hail fell in some areas, although I don't think any fell near me. Just heavy, heavy rains. There was flooding in some areas of Boise. Mostly because storm drains just couldn't handle the amount of water that fell at one time. At least one semi was blown over on the freeway. A window was shattered in one of the banks downtown. And when it was all over … a beautiful sunset.
This has been the year of storms across the US and other sorts of disasters around the globe, and the year is not yet half over. It does give one pause, doesn't it, when we see these signs? Maranatha!
