Have I got a musical find to share with you!
On the 4th of July, I watched the Independence Day celebrations in Washington DC, New York, and Boston. I think it was in the New York show that I heard a young woman sing who absolutely carried me away with the beautiful purity of her voice. I headed straight to iTunes to see what I could find by Hayley Westenra and ended up buying her latest album, Celtic Treasure. I’ve already listened to the album several times. I’m particular fond of Shenandoah and Danny Boy, but I love all of them. And I plan to buy her previous two albums, even though they aren’t Celtic albums.
