I know that grandparents all over the country and around the world live apart from their grandchildren. But I became very spoiled having mine in the same town. Half an hour apart in the worst of traffic. Less most of the time. But last summer, my youngest daughter and her family moved to Texas, and boy, have I ever missed seeing them.
I got away for a full week of family time and, as I write this, am in Texas now. Here are a few photos of my first two days, some from the San Antonio Zoo and some from the Texas Aquarium in Corpus Christi, followed by time at the beach (where I got a bit of a sunburn; bad for radiated skin, so shame on me).
Better finish this post so I can get ready to play some more.
