a day to reflect

I’m making progress with PTM. Have worked through a lot of the issues, heightening conflict and changing the characters’ backstory to strengthen motivation. It will be early next week before I’m through revamping what I already have and am ready to start writing new stuff. Mercy, this is certainly putting me behind schedule.

It’s Good Friday, and I’m leaving in a couple of hours for church to participate in a prayer vigil. My hour of prayer is from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. The vigil started last night following Maundy Thursday service and goes until tonight’s Good Friday service.

As I pause to reflect this morning upon the meaning of this weekend, about what happened on this day 2000 years ago, I am awed once again by the love of God, that He would give His only Son for me. How blessed is my life because of that sacrifice. How wretched would I be without Him in it.

And Jesus is why I write. “And these things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.” 1 John 1:4
