Loveyourblogaward

A great big thanks to Britannie over at the Book Lover blog for awarding Write Thinking with this blog award. I'm honored by your appreciation.

I suppose every blogger gets into it for different reasons. Way back in 2002, I began to blog because I thought readers of my books might like to see what my days looked like as I wrote a novel from beginning to end. I found out that my days as a writer sounded pretty boring when put on paper. Today I wrote ten pages. Today I wrote eleven pages. Today I wrote… Big deal. Yada, yada, yada. {grin}

Very soon I found myself using the blog more as a spiritual diary, writing down things I felt God was showing me. After I migrated over to Typepad, I began to think of my blog as a place to share a glimpse of me, as a writer, as a person, as a Christian, as a daughter, as a sister, as a mom and grandma, as a friend, as a neighbor, as a book lover and a movie buff, as an observer of our culture, as a patriot — and all the other parts that make me, me. And so the blog became more eclectic.

So thanks, readers, for stopping by Write Thinking. I love it when you participate by leaving comments. I love knowing you're "out there" somewhere.
