I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.
— Isaiah 44:22
Discouraged and destitute, her dreams shattered, Roxy Burke is going home. But what lies beyond the front door? Rejection … or a brighter future?
A lot has changed since Roxy escaped small town life to become a Nashville star. Her former boyfriend Wyatt has found Christ and plans to become a minister. Her sister Elena, who comforted Wyatt when Roxy ran away, is now his fiancee. Her father Jonathan, a successful businessman, is heartbroken over the estrangement of Roxy from the family.
Now Roxy—her inheritance from her grandmother squandered, her hopes of stardom dashed—finds her way home … not by choice but because it’s her only option. Her father’s love and forgiveness surprise her, but her very presence throws the contented Burke family into turmoil, filling Roxy with guilt and shame.
Elena is shocked to discover doubt and resentment in her heart after her father’s easy acceptance of Roxy into the family circle. Wyatt wrestles with doubts about marrying Elena. And Roxy struggles to accept forgiveness. Isn’t she more deserving of rejection? As the story of the prodigal plays out, each member of the Burke family must search for and accept God’s grace.
What a great book. It really touched my heart. I could clearly see the correlation between this story and the Biblical prodigal and it gave me a renewed vision of God’s grace and his love. The author did a wonderful job of showing how bad choices can affect the rest of your life, yet she is careful to show that healing can occur. It was an easy read, captivating from the beginning. — Book Bargains & Previews

Roxy’s story is all to familiar for Nashville hopefuls, and yet the reader can’t help but feel sorry for her, in spite of all her bad decisions. The story is very close to the Biblical story of the prodigal son; the faith message is very well woven in. Fans of Robin Lee Hatcher aren’t going to want to miss RETURN TO ME. The story will tug at your heartstrings. — Faithwebbin’ CB Reviews
Hatcher, a prolific and award-winning author, retells the well-known Biblical story of the prodigal son as a prodigal daughter. Themes of forgiveness, redemption, and grace are strongly, yet gently, articulated in this novel. This book would make an excellent gift or addition to a church library. — The Road to Romance
[Hatcher’s] unique twist on the prodigal son story (changed to prodigal daughter) focuses primarily on the ‘good’ daughter, Elena, who stayed home while her sister left. Readers will identify with Elena and her frustrations, and the book’s faith-building resolution will have them examining their own lives. Rarely do we see such a clear picture of God’s grace as in this novel. — Romantic Times Book Reviews
